Dadadadadada…Daaaaad. Dada. I know TWO words now! I’m so super-smart. Ooh, ooh, I’m eloquent. Take that, Webster.
Look what else I can do!
I was dogging it a bit so I don’t make all the other babies jealous, but I can zip around quite well. Mommy and Daddy were watching TV the other night and I came flying through—I don’t know what was so funny, but they couldn’t stop laughing.
So, I can talk, I can walk, and, man can I eat! Look, I’m double-fisting it. Apple in one hand and pear in the other.
I only like food that I can pick up by myself and bite—I don’t like Mommy to put it in little pieces for me. I’m not a baby anymore, Mom! Then she tried to give me a rice cake. What the crapt is that?!
She really needs to get some more food in this house. I can’t find anything to eat. I’m starving—can’t you tell? All skin and bones, here.
I may have indeed sweated a pound or two off—it was hot this week. I won’t complain. I got to play outside. Naked! It was so fun.
I had to stay inside a lot, too. Me and Mommy have been doing lots of reading. I LOVE books. Well, I only love a few books over and over…and over…and over…and over again. What? Who doesn’t love hearing about crazy monkeys jumping on the bed? My favorite books right now are: Does Kangaroo Have a Mother, Too?, Whose Baby Am I?, and Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.
You know what else is fun? PARTYING! Get this—I went to three parties over the weekend. Three! First we crashed Daddy’s old neighbor’s graduation party. Then we hit up Uncle Dave’s pad (do you like my slang, huh, do you? I’ve got real swagg…), then on Sunday we had a baby shower and cookout. I can’t wait to meet Baby Luke. He’s due on the 4th of July. I also got to see all of Grandpa’s family. And Aunt Nancy has a doggie named, Oliver. That’s pretty much the SECOND best name of all time (get it, huh, get it?…cause that’s MY middle name…my SECOND name…get it?). It was really hot and Grandpa Dan woke me up AGAIN so I wasn’t exactly Prince Charming, but I got a few snuggles in.
(Hush, girrrl. Just give me a kiss.)
And Mommy said I had to include these random embarrassing pictures. Cause apparently I’m making adorable facial expressions these days. It’s called growing up, Mom. It’s called expressing emotions. Of course I’m cute. Where have you been the last 8 months?
